Experience

For over seventeen years Jim has aided clients ranging from solo inventors to Fortune 500 companies in developing and protecting their intellectual property, including patents and trademarks, domestically and internationally.

Before starting Larsen Intellectual Property, Jim worked both in respected law firms and in-house for a large privately-held company managing and developing a portion of the company's patent portfolio, evaluating incoming and outgoing licensing opportunities, analyzing IP-related litigation threats and opportunities, and working side-by-side with inventors to minimize risks to development of industry-leading products.

While Jim is able to advise inventors and companies in many technological disciplines, a few representative areas of experience include mobile technologies, mobile communications (including LTE and LTE-A), display technology, medical devices, automotive technologies, combustion technologies, etc.

Outside of law, Jim enjoys spending time with family, making music, fixing things around the house, and serving in his church.
